This summer, Birmingham Hospice opens its new concept store. Located on Harborne High Street, the 6,470 square foot store features an in-store café, community space, selfie mirror and weekend DJ sets, alongside thousands of preloved items for customers to purchase and enjoy.

Birmingham Hospice, formerly Birmingham St Mary’s Hospice and John Taylor Hospice, helps people from all communities access the care of their choice at the end of life. The charity has been working alongside social media icon, Charity Shop Girl, to create a charity shop like no other in the heart of Harborne.

Cath D’eath, the charity’s Retail Area Manager, said:

“After months of hard work, it’s beyond exciting to see our vision of a charity shop like no other be realised. Our commitment to providing a unique shopping experience to our customers has inspired every decision we have made.

“We can’t wait for you to come along and experience it for yourselves. Join the revolution – we know you’ll love it as much as we do, and every penny you spend will enable us to support more local people living with a terminal diagnosis, and their families.”

Jen, Charity Shop Girl, said:

“Doing this project with Birmingham Hospice has been the highlight of my Charity Shop Girl journey, and I’m so proud of everything we’ve achieved together.

“I can’t wait for you all to see the finished shop, it truly is a charity shop like no other.”

The new concept store opens on Thursday 10 August (10am – 5pm) and everyone is invited. As part of the launch, the charity is running an opening weekend raffle, with fantastic prizes, including vouchers for Greidy’s and Herbert’s Yard, t-shirts from Disco Kids and much more!

Following the launch day, the store’s opening hours will be 9am – 5pm Monday – Saturday, 10am – 4pm Sunday.
