Finance support

It can be time and labour intensive to run a voluntary organisation, where impact measurement and reporting is a key part of your work. Having access to an accountancy service with an in depth understanding of charity accounting is crucial. Our finance team has the specialist expertise to meet your charity accounting needs.

We offer the following charity accounting services:

  • Preparation of annual accounts
  • Independent examination
  • Payroll
  • Consultancy for specific pieces of work including budgeting, financial planning and financial management
  • Other accountancy services including book keeping and bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of accounts
  • Our accountancy service can support your organisation through the following services. Our rates range between £25 - £55 per hour excluding VAT dependent upon the level of expertise required.

Independent Examination

Independent examination is an alternative to a full audit for smaller charities – a legally acceptable form of external scrutiny for your end of year accounts.

The threshold for independent examination for registered charities (with or without limited by guarantee company status) was increased in the year end March 2010 and has now stabilised as the limits and conditions have fluctuated over the last few years.

As long as your gross income is below £500,000 (or £250,000 if you have assets exceeding the value of £3.26m) replace your audit with an independent examination and save money!

Bespoke services and consultancy

Our finance team can offer a range of bespoke financial services. Please contact us for an informal discussion.

    How to Beat Self-Defeat

Many of us have an inner voice that is so often harshly self-critical. Often we compare ourselves unfavorably with others or with our own unrealistic expectations of ourselves, and then we beat ourselves up for falling short. On this special day course, Gen Kelsang Rabten will explain practical methods for reducing self-defeating thoughts and guide a series of empowering meditations.
