Engage for Good Forum

BVSC is working in partnership with Birmingham City Council to deliver an integrated programme of strategic engagement and development support for the Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) sector. Central to this programme is Engage for Good, a VCFSE leadership forum to support collaboration, partnership working and improve opportunities for developing joined up approaches.

Engage for Good will create opportunities for public authorities and VCFSE leaders to convene around key social, community and service issues. It is a vehicle for VCFSE communication, co-ordination, problem-solving and community insight, capable of working collaboratively for community good.

We will create facilitated spaces and networks in response to sector identified priorities, where VCFSE organisations and public authorities can:

  • discuss and develop responses to social need
  • share best practice
  • develop solutions to key challenges that will improve outcomes for citizens and communities across the city.
  • Identify areas for support and development
  • Identify opportunities for strategic investment

If you would like to find out more about Engage for Good activity, sign up to our Weekly e-bulletin. Or join one of our networks (see links below).

We want leaders from a range of VCFSE sector organisations to be involved, reflecting the diverse and vibrant sector across the city and that this diversity is represented throughout the forum. If you would like more information or have a conversation about emerging issues and priorities please email [email protected].

Join online by completing a short form.

  • Environment and Energy

The Environment & Energy network meets once a month.

Helping residents who use food banks - can you connect us to residents we can talk to?

Birmingham City Council Early Intervention and Prevention programme aims to tackle inequalities and access to services and support such as unemployment, loneliness, housing, and debt. We are looking on how information on our website can be improved to help residents easily access information, advice and guidance about support services available to them. We are focusing first on food provision, especially food bank vouchers.
