Corporate partnership delivers energy boost to young persons’ charity West Midlands-based young persons’ charity Sport 4 Life UK has announced a new partnership with B2B digital energy switching and comparison platform Tickd which will deliver vital funds each time an organisation or business changes utilities supplier. The move is part of the charity’s new ‘Gamechanging Partners’ initiative which aims to attract business community involvement in its mission to help 11 to 29-year-olds move into sustained education, training and employment through sports-themed personal development. Throughout 2021 Tickd, which helps SMEs get a better deal on their gas and electric supplies, will champion Sport 4 Life UK’s work, whilst supporting a range of fundraising and volunteering activities. Additionally, an affiliate programme will be launched with the aim of generating funds for Sport 4 Life UK each time an organisation or business switches energy supplier with Birmingham-based Tickd. Sport 4 Life UK Head of Business Development Rob Wells said: “We’re delighted to announce this partnership with Tickd and are really excited about working with its team in 2021. We can see lots of benefits in the coming 12 months, including a chance to gain experience of the fast-growing digital economy for some of our beneficiaries as well as increased funds to enable us to support more people. Indeed, at a time when youngsters are facing such a challenging future, I’m sure the partnership with Tickd will deliver tangible benefits and I would like to thank its leadership team for backing us in 2021.” Tickd Managing Director Richard Price added: “Many SMEs are acutely aware of the challenges facing young people but they can find it difficult amid the demands of running a business to offer support. However, through our partnership with Sport 4 Life UK, small firms will be able to make a real difference not only to this important charity but also their own energy bills. We’re looking forward to working with Rob and his team to improve the life chances of youngsters across the West Midlands region in the year ahead. Sport 4 Life’s work really resonates with our values, both as a business and individuals and so we’re delighted to set up this partnership. ” Using data and pricing information from integrations with handpicked gas and electricity suppliers, Tickd provides an innovative digital energy switching and comparison platform, allowing small and medium-sized businesses to compare from over 30 different tariffs and switch their energy online, in the same way that consumers can at home. Sport 4 Life UK, which was established in 2006 in Ladywood, uses sport to help young people acquire key life skills and prepare for and move into sustained education, employment or training.
