Your Local Pantry volunteers do a brilliant job of running the stores on a day-to-day basis, ensuring they are welcoming and supportive to our members.

This role provides support to the volunteers in the stores, such as responding to requests and suggestions, hosting team meetings, coordinating attendance and providing practical support where it is needed.

Shifts
Hours are flexible, although support is most needed for stocking days and whilst the store is open. Open to discussion about hours.

Summary of Main Activities and Tasks:
Coordinating volunteer rotas
Liaising with other parties in the supply chain, e.g. food donors and delivery drivers
Ensuring food and shop safety principles within the site
Participating in team meetings, helping to resolve any operational issues
Co-ordinating volunteer feedback.

Qualities/Experience/skills
This role is suited to an enthusiastic, well-organised individual with strong leadership skills. The ability to problem solve is essential, as is a commitment to getting involved on a practical level – e.g. helping out if there are other volunteer shortages.
Previous experience of coordinating volunteers or management of staff is desirable.
