Stop Loan Shark Week 2024 - No Blame No Shame Campaign

Stop Loan Sharks has been around for 20 years, fighting illegal money lending and supporting borrowers. Every year we organise a campaign week to highlight the work we have been doing with our many partners. This year’s theme is to highlight that there is ‘No Blame, No Shame’ for anyone who has borrowed from a loan shark. From our research we have found that many borrowers don’t try to find help until 2 years after they first take out a loan from an illegal lender.

13th - 19th May 2024

We want to use Loan Sharks Week to get the message out that no blame or shame lies with the borrower. The loan shark is the one who should be feeling all the blame and shame.
