Salus Fatigue Foundation is delighted to continue partnering with BVSC and DRC to deliver a project supporting the Department of Health and Social Care's Women's Health Strategy.

Salus Fatigue Foundation is hosting Menopause workshops across Birmingham and Solihull over 2023, 2024 and 2025. The workshops aim to provide holistic support to individuals experiencing menopausal health issues, helping them to remain in or return to the workforce.

These workshops are open to anyone in the community, whether you have attended a previous workshop with us or haven't been before. If you have already attended one of the workshops, then we would like to let you know that the format will be very similar to the workshops in 2023; however, it can be beneficial to revisit the information again. We understand that symptoms can change, and life can impact us differently and at different times. Therefore, revisiting the information can be helpful, and people may hear different information the second time, which may have more relevance now. You can also bring along anyone you feel may benefit from the workshops.

The FREE two-hour workshops are informative, engaging, and practical.

You will discover new self-care techniques and strategies, learn how to talk to your GP and find out what treatments are available. A comprehensive booklet is provided to track your progress through perimenopause and post-menopause.

  • Individuals feel supported in and out of the workplace
  • Taboos are broken down through open conversation
  • Employers feel well-equipped to support women in managing their health within the workplace

Workshop Content:

You can expect to learn about all things Peri Menopause and Menopause. Our expert will guide you through nutrition and diet for hormones, movement information, sleep improvement, hydration, and more.

You will receive a free booklet to complete during the workshop and take home to continue your journey. Our 'wheel of life' exercise will give you a clear picture of where you are at with your lifestyle, nutrition, mood and sleep. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to ask our hormone/menopause expert any questions you might have at the end.

It also gives you the chance to make new connections with people in a similar position to you, which, in turn, can make you feel heard and less isolated. You are also welcome to bring a friend or family member, as they may also find it beneficial to learn more about supporting hormonal health.

The Project is funded until 2025 by the Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise (VCSE) Health and Wellbeing Fund, a joint initiative run by the Department of Health and Social Care, NHS England, and the UK Health Security Agency. The fund's theme for 2022 to 2025 is women's reproductive well-being in the workplace, which links in with the development of the new Women's Health Strategy.
