A free one-day session for everyone who would like to help others reduce their risk of dementia, to provide support and to advocate for better understanding of dementia.

Are you passionate about helping people to reduce their risk of dementia, providing support and advocating for better care and understanding of dementia within your community or organisation? Maybe it‘s something you would like to do, but feel you don‘t have the skills and knowledge required? Then this course is for you!

Come and join us for an interactive, one-day training session and become a Dementia Ally!

A Dementia Ally is someone who supports, and advocates for, people living with dementia and their caregivers. This training will equip you to share the steps that can be taken to reduce the risk of dementia, or to slow down the rate of its progression and enable you to educate and support citizens in your community, or colleagues in your workplace, to reduce their risk of dementia and to improve the lives of people with dementia and their families. As a Dementia Ally, you will also be able to work towards reducing the stigma associated with dementia and creating inclusive environments for those affected by dementia, by promoting awareness, understanding and acceptance of dementia within your community or organisation.
