Community Digital Reporter Training

Community Reporting is a movement which enables people to tell their own stories in their own ways, and connects those stories to create a better understanding of issues from people experiencing them and connecting them with people who can work together to create positive changes. The Equality Trust is working with groups and organisations to ensure decisions are informed by the people they affect most. Community Reporting is one of the methods we use to build a better understanding.

We will work together to use your stories to support influencing decisions that are taken from those in power and inform the work of local and national initiatives to tackle poverty and inequality. 

The 3 day training course will help you to develop skills in Community Reporting and use them in a way that suits you (interviewing, filming, uploading, curating).

To make this project a success we ask that you attend all 3 days and collect 3 stories from your networks.

With support from Barrow Cadbury, we are offering 10 places for people who feel the pressure of a low-income. We hope to be able to support participants in future opportunities for peer research and training.

The information that you provide here will be accessed by project staff and will only be used to contact you about the training opportunity. Your information will be stored securely and will be deleted 12 months after you have completed the course.
