Birmingham’s Vision for Volunteering sets out an aspirational view of what the volunteering landscape in Birmingham could look like by 2027. It draws on the recently developed national Vision for Volunteering, produced by the National Council of Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and its partners. It was co-produced by citizens, voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise organisations, the public sector, and academic partners in Birmingham, through a series of events held in late 2022.

Through a shared vision for volunteering, we can work together to ensure that Birmingham’s amazing volunteers are supported and recognised. We can harness the power of volunteering to tackle some of the challenges that Birmingham faces, and create spaces to innovate, share tools and good practice to support volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations.

We’re running some free virtual sessions that will explain more about the vision and what it hopes to achieve in Birmingham. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and find out how they can get involved. Pop along with a cuppa to find out more!
