First kickstart participants join BVSC!

After a flurry of activity over the summer we are pleased to announce that our first two participants have joined BVSC Kickstart. Our Kickstart Conference Assistant and Administrator will be assisting with our conferencing and front of house activities while at Birchfield Big Local the Kickstart Communications Assistant has joined the team to assist with building and delivering their communication strategy. We are delighted to have both on board and are looking forward to working with them to build their skills and future career prospects.

Summer 2021 was a busy time for BVSC Kickstart. Over July and August we have successfully engaged with host organisations across the sector who have created some amazing employment opportunities for young people looking to get back into work.

Awareness Ambassador

As an Awareness Ambassador, you can play an important role in increasing awareness of diabetes locally and online. You will support Diabetes UK campaigns by taking leaflets and posters along to local community venues such as libraries and community centres and like and share on our social media.
Events Volunteer

Events volunteers help raise awareness of diabetes and Diabetes UK at events around Leicestershire. Events volunteers talk to members of the public in a friendly and enthusiastic manner to raise awareness of diabetes and Diabetes UK, offer appropriate Diabetes UK materials and answer general queries.
