Would you like to help us secure vital long-term projects and core funding to improve the lives of citizens with learning disabilities? Would you like to give back, and use your skills, knowledge, and experience to support our charity to secure existing projects and co-create new ones to help and support more people? If you've answered yes, then this remote opportunity is for you!

What you will do:
- We are looking for someone who can commit a few valuable hours to build and sustain our trust fundraising programme.
- You will find out how to research new prospects, write compelling and persuasive bids to potential funders and keep up-to-date records using our online database.
- Working alongside the existing CEO and Fundraising and Communications Officer, your support will be invaluable, boosting our capacity and supporting people with learning disabilities.

How you will do this:
- We are now largely working remotely, so we would like someone who can also do this.
- A face-to-face induction will be held and regular video calls to discuss the work you’re doing will be part of your weekly volunteering.
Your commitment
- We are looking for someone who could volunteer around 5 hours per week, to be discussed and agreed, either on one day, or across a couple of days. We are completely flexible though so if you can't commit up to 5, please talk to us about what is possible.

What are we looking for:
You don’t need to have experience of fundraising for this role, just the motivation to learn and enjoy the prospect of ensuring people with learning disabilities have equitable access to services and support, are valued as citizens, connected to their communities, and live happy, healthy, fulfilled lives.

What difference will you make?
- Our mission is to empower people with learning disabilities to speak up for themselves, express their views, make their choices, secure their rights and entitlements, and be valued as citizens.
- Our work changes lives and systems, making society more equitable. Your trust fundraising activities will help us thrive and make our long-term growth sustainable at a critical time of need.

How to apply
- For more information please contact Becky Jones – Volunteer Coordinator by email on [email protected]
- You will be invited to have an informal discussion with the CEO and Fundraising and Communications Officer via Teams or Zoom.
