Birmingham LGBT, Emerge Trans Youth Group Workers. Closing Date: Wednesday 22nd July, 9am.

Birmingham LGBT is recruiting two part-time youth workers to work with the transgender, non-binary, and gender-questioning young people aged 13 to 18 who attend our Emerge Youth Group. 

Both posts are identical, working 8 hours per month (4 hours on 2 Saturdays). We will consider applications to work 16 hours per month (4 hours on 4 Saturdays), please state this clearly in your application form. Otherwise, it will be assumed that you are applying for 8 hours per month.

The Emerge Youth Group meets on Saturdays, in a way that prioritises their safety and personal development, both in group work and one-to-one settings. The workers will help to organise the group’s programme of activities and to provide support and information to its members.

The successful applicants will join a motivated and enthusiastic team based at the Birmingham LGBT Centre in central Birmingham.

Terms:

Remuneration: £13.29 per hour.
Working Hours: 8 hours per month on Saturdays, usually two four-hour sessions per month.
