Volunteer Visitor - Focus Birmingham

0121 478 5221

Could you give a few hours a week to visit someone in the community who has a visual impairment? Can you help someone in their own home? The role involves helping someone in the community with sight loss to overcome feelings of isolation by providing them with regular visits.

The aim is to build relationships where people with sight loss are given the opportunity to speak with someone in a confidential and non-judgemental atmosphere.

The Volunteer Visitor Befriender will be matched up with someone local to them where possible. They will agree to meet the person once a week at a regular time and agree on activities that they would like to do together such as going for a walk or going for a coffee.
