Refreshments Volunteer (school holidays)
Square Peg Foundation are looking for volunteers to run a refreshments area at a stay and play for children with additional needs during the school holidays.
- Sutton Coldfield 9.30 - 12.00 Tuesdays
- Kingstanding 2.00 - 4.00 Thursdays
At Sutton Coldfield Grammar School we have a "pop-up" kitchen area where you will need to unload the refreshments box which includes sweets, crisps, biscuits, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. and arrange it on a table to be sold. Hot water is provided in flasks to make hot drinks for parents. Cold water is provided for free juice drinks for children. Once the area is set up it will be making drinks and selling items then clearing down at the end.
At Kingstanding Methodist Church in Kings Road, we have full kitchen facilities but we provide our own kettle and safety cups. Again setting up and clearing down and selling and making drinks in between.
We would like the person who volunteers to be responsible for ensuring the next venue has enough items by keeping a tally on what is sold.
The person will need to undergo a DBS check as we are dealing with children (with additional needs)
We are happy to take one person for both venues ideally but will also consider two people if travel is an issue.
