Life as a carer can be lonely and they can feel isolated and have very little time to undertake recreational activities or make new friends. You will play an important role in the Befriending Service and will listen and empower carers, resulting in improving good mental wellbeing and building confidence and self-esteem.
We are looking for volunteers that can spend an hour or so, meeting and chatting to a carer. To support carers to have a break from caring and to assist them to engage in activities. Listening to carers and to develop a trusting relationship so they can have someone to talk to and to overcome loneliness and isolation.
