14 organisations recently gathered in Birmingham to hear more about the Levol-app project and the innovative platform on Volunteer Management.

The Levol-app project has entered its final stretch and the online platform, available in five languages, was presented to key stakeholders. In all five partner countries of the project, ‘multiplier’ events were held in order to share the background of the levol-app project and functionalities of this innovative platform, including the experiences of those who participated in the testing phase.

The UK event, hosted by BVSC, took place on Friday 31 January 2020 with 17 participants representing a total of 14 organisations. There was a huge amount of positivity and enthusiasm for the online learning tool which will support the development of volunteer management programmes, improving the experience for both volunteer managers and volunteers within an organisation.

During the trial phase in the UK, Levol-app was made available to 21 organisations for testing. From the feedback obtained, the majority felt that the Platform was a really useful and robust tool that would help shape or improve volunteer management programmes.

The multiplier events have been essential in sharing the results of the online platform and proved how important and necessary this support is for organisations who involve volunteers. Watch this space for the office go-live date of the Platform!

The project is co-ordinated by:

Pista Mágica – Escola de Voluntariado (Portugal)

with the support of:

Neo Sapiens (Spain)
Associazione di Promozione Sociale Futuro Digitale (Italy)
Platforma dobrovolnickych centier a organizacii (PDCO) (Slovakia), and
Birmingham Voluntary Service Council (BVSC) (United Kingdom)

The initiative aims to promote teamwork and exchange of good practices regarding the training of those responsible for the creation and coordination of volunteer management programmes (at local or international levels). To learn more about the project development and get to know more about volunteer coordination and management, Levol-App’s activities can be followed online, on its website and Facebook page.
