Social investment is becoming an increasingly important tool for charities and social enterprises in an increasingly challenging economic climate. This programme is highlighting how investment can be utilised to scale and support your organisation both financially and to improve your social impact.

Since the programme with WMCA started in January 2026. BII have already supported 5 social enterprises with over £500,000 in blended finance.

The aim of the partnership and fund is to support the West Midlands Growth Plan, which sets out a bold vision to transform the region’s economy over the next decade, with real action starting now and big outcomes by 2035.

Big Issue Invest deployed £9.4 million to 50 social purpose organisations, supporting almost 1.9 million people across the UK in 2024/25.
