Home from Hospital Care is a Birmingham-based charity that has been supporting vulnerable and isolated individuals since 1986. Our mission is to help people regain their independence and wellbeing after a hospital stay through practical support such as food parcels, befriending, benefit checks, and more. In 2022, we were honoured to receive the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service in recognition of our long-standing commitment to the community. Read more

Co-ordination, project management, finance, monitoring, evaluation, public relations, communication and signposting with wider Voluntary, Community, Faith & Social Enterprise sector and public and private sector partners including through our communications and networks – particularly through our Environment & Energy and Cost of Living Networks. Community Energy Birmingham aims to reduce carbon emissions in Birmingham with community energy projects. In the 2010s, CEB installed solar panels on community buildings across the city, raising the capital investment with community shares. Since the end of solar subsidies, CEB has been working with Big Solar Coop to continue installing community-owned renewable energy on rooves in Birmingham. Read more
