Hidden young people

Up to half of unemployed young people in Greater Manchester are missing out on valuable support in finding work due to being ‘hidden’. This report published by Greater Manchester Talent Match, a GMCVO-led partnership programme, explores the unique issues encountered by young people who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) and not in receipt of benefits to help service providers understand why they are not engaging with welfare support services.

Join GoodGym Birmingham for a Litter Pick on the Canal

GoodGym is a group that combines physical activity with doing good. We have group runs and Community Missions. On Tuesday 30th April we will be meeting at 1000 Trades in the Jewellery Quarter and then heading to the nearby canal to do a litter pick. There is an option to run to the canal and then do a little run after or you are also more than welcome to walk.

We know that since this report was published the COL crisis has significantly deepened, with rising inflation, energy and food costs impacting communities across the UK.
Evaluation Review of the Teens Autism Confident programme pilot project

BVSC Research was commissioned by Autism West Midlands to evaluate the Teens Autism Confident programme. The Teens Autism Confident programme is aimed at supporting autistic teenagers to understand their condition and respond positively to it. This was built upon a previously successful course targeting adults, with the belief that encouraging autistic teenagers to feel more confident about being autistic can improve how they feel about themselves in teenage years and later in life.
