Somalinimo Week 2026 will take place from 26 June to 4 July 2026 in Birmingham, celebrating Somali identity, creativity, and community. The event will feature a variety of activities, including cultural performances, business events, and discussions on Somali heritage. West Midlands Commemoration of the Srebrenica Genocide

Join the Lord Mayor of Birmingham, Remembering Srebrenica, and the Bosnia and Herzegovina UK Network for the official West Midlands memorial event marking the July 1995 genocide. Centred around this year's theme, “We Are Here,” the commemoration serves to honour the victims, support survivors, and promote collective remembrance. The commemoration will be held on Wednesday, 1 July, at 1pm in the Banqueting Suite, Birmingham City Council House.
