4 Weeks FREE Summer Holiday Activity Scheme 2026

Our charity, the Community Foundation, is organising a HAF programme for children during their summer holidays. We kindly ask you to promote the below post, so that we can attract as many young people as possible and offer them the chance to participate in fun activities and make new friends!

Make this summer one to remember with exciting activities, new friendships and plenty of fun along the way!

Our Summer Holiday Scheme will again be running in Lozells and Small Heath in Birmingham.

The scheme is open to boys and girls aged 5-16 and will offer professional sports coaching, martial arts, water activities, Xbox Kenetic KO competition, computer coding classes, arts & crafts and energiser games, as well as fun day trips!

The Day Trips will be open to book for children who attend all the days on time and are of good behaviour and will be offered on first come first served basis. Please see our website for more info.

LOZELLS: 20 St Silas Square (off Church Street), B19 1QW

Tuesday 21 July to Friday 24 July, then every Monday to Wednesday until 13 August

9am – 12.45pm for children aged 5-9 years old. Breakfast will be provided.
1.15pm – 5pm for children aged 10-16 years old. Lunch will be provided.

SMALL HEATH: Darul Uloom High School, 525 Coventry Road, B10 0LL

Tuesday 21 July to Thursday 23 July, then every Monday to Wednesday until 12 August and a final date at Monday 17th of August

9am – 12.45pm for children aged 5-9 years old. Breakfast will be provided.
1.15pm – 4.45pm for children aged 10-16 years old. Lunch will be provided.

Free snacks provided throughout the day!

Please make sure children wear loose clothing, trainers (no open toed shoes) and that they bring a bag and plenty of water.

This one-day conference brings together youth workers, social workers, safeguarding leads, faith leaders, academics, community organisations, and young people themselves to address this gap and forge lasting connections for relational practice and collaborative change across sectors.
Exploring and Coping with Disordered Eating: LGBTQ+ Group

These workshops provide a safe space for LGBTQ+ individuals to explore their eating difficulties, gain peer support, and learn coping skills for eating and body image difficulties. Starts 23 July.
Equity, Inclusion and Representation

Building genuinely inclusive governance in diverse communities is one of the most demanding aspects of long-term place-based work. This session explores what that looked like in Big Local areas that took it seriously, drawing on the experiences of people who were directly involved. Speakers from Pimlico Million in London. Framing from Lucy Thurley (Local Trust) sets the wider context, with facilitated breakout discussion giving participants space to connect the learning to their own practice.
