You don’t need a dance background, just some basic digital skills, the ability to get on with a wide range of people and good communication skills and good written English. If you have IT or digital marketing experience, that would be great but not essential. Xpress-Yourself Dance CIC run dance classes and workshops suitable for older adults across the West Midlands. We use social media to raise awareness of our services, raise funds and promote the benefits of dancing

What you’ll do
• Maintain branch social media feeds
• Look at ways to increase traffic to the website and improve Xpress-Yourself Dance CIC digital brand
• Keep content current and accurate
• Support and maintain the Xpress-Yourself Dance CIC brand by consistently using our brand guidelines and tone of voice
• Research trends, demographics, and any other relevant information that helps in the development and implementation of our digital marketing strategy.
• Analysing our audiences, surveys, polls, and other market research to look for patterns and trends that could improve our reach and engagement.
• Monitoring and entering marketing data into spreadsheets to help collate reports, and detailed data analysis.

Skills you will need
• A commitment to supporting older people and a keen interest in making a positive impact in the community.
• Interest and basic knowledge of digital marketing.
• Experience and basic knowledge of using the main social media platforms.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Packages, updating Excel Spreadsheets.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Flexibility, reliability and commitment.
• Gain confidence. Volunteering can help you gain confidence by giving you the chance to try something new and build a real sense of achievement.
• Make a difference. Xpress-Yourself Dance works with older adults to keep them steady and strong and engaged in a social community. By helping us to improve our social media streams helping us target older people and their children more people will attend our dance classes making more people part of our Keep Dancing community.

• Learn new skills. Volunteering can help you learn new skills, gain experience and sometimes even qualifications.
• Take on a challenge. Through volunteering, you can challenge yourself to try something different, achieve personal goals, practice using your skills and discover hidden talents.

Xpress-Yourself Dance will support you in your role to ensure you feel confident to complete the tasks and ensure that any hours or paperwork that needs to be signed in line with your volunteering and studies is completed promptly.

Time Commitment
Minimum time commitment 6 months.
Location: Volunteering remotely.
Hours: Minimum 6 hours per month

Training: Some mandatory dependent on hours volunteered to include Induction training: ageism awareness, confidentiality and information sharing, equity and disability, equality and diversity. . Reporting to: Company Director

Expenses: Xpress-Yourself Dance offers reimbursement of travel expenses.
