Becoming a Servant Leader for a History-Making Community Project We are organising Birmingham's first-ever Christmas Concert for the Over-50's. Our preparations for this iconic event include rehearsals by our Over-50's Community Choir as well as our exciting Keyboard Lessons for the Over-50's. We are in need of individuals who can facilitate the smooth-running of this project by availing themselves to serve others! Strike-A-Chord is a fun-filled music-making project in which the Over-50's and Over-60's learn how to play the keyboard! This activity fosters togetherness and social interaction, as well as helps the ageing population overcome isolation and loneliness. The "Strike-A-Chord Over-50's Christmas Concert" intends to be an uplifting Christmas celebration for the Over-50's by the Over-50's. As much as possible, the singers, players and musicians at the concert will be in the 50+ age groupIn preparation for the Christmas Concert, we are forming an Over-50's Community Choir consisting of people aged 50+ from various ethnic groups and denominations across Birmingham. They will be rehearsing and learning Christmas carols and songs in English and vibrant African languages, which they will perform at the concert. On a voluntary basis, the Servant Leaders will assist in setting up the venue for the keyboard lessons, attend to questions which the participants may have and assist with the smooth-running of the session.Does this sound like a role for you?
