🥁 Experience Africa Without Leaving Birmingham!

i60 Community Interest Company would like to "take" you to Africa without incurring the cost of flying to Africa! We are organising an African Drumming workshop where you can "Feel the beat. Build the bond."

Drum & Bond, part of the Health and Music project by i60 Community Interest Company, brings the joy of African drumming to YOU.

Using authentic Yoruba Talking Drums and Percussion Instruments (dating back to the 9th century AD), participants will:

✨ Drum together and bond together
✨ Connect through rhythm and culture
✨ Lift their mood and experience true togetherness

🎶 No musical experience needed! These colourful, lightweight drums are easy to handle, making them perfect for older adults (50+), as well as younger adults with disabilities or mental health challenges.

Unlike the popular Djembe drum, Yoruba Talking Drums can even play piano-like notes — adding melody to rhythm for a truly magical experience!

🌟 Drum & Bond starts Thursday, 11th September at 12 noon and runs every other Thursday.
