Business Development Webinars & Resources (Series 3)

In 2020 BVSC successfully secured funding from the National Lottery Community Fund Covid-19 Relief, to support the sector with accessing funding opportunities. As part of this we worked with Tony Carr of 4frontpartners who delivered weekly one-hour webinars looking at different aspects of business development and submitting funding applications.

Directories can be used by citizens, organisations and frontline community workers for referrals, along with professionals within other sectors.
Peer Hearings: Young People, Criminal Justice & Community

The West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner, Jonah's Project CIC and BVSC are working together to support Birmingham's young people in the criminal justice system through community engagement. Peer Hearings offer an innovative route away from criminal justice system for young people aged 11 -25 in some of Birmingham's most disadvantaged communities who have been arrested for a summary offence with 'no further action' taken.
The Community Development Practice Hub

The Community Development Practice Hub aims to connect, inspire, and upskill community development practitioners in Birmingham. Its mission is to 'advocate for a practice of community development in the city that focuses on 'doing with', not 'doing to'. We provide opportunities for professional development, peer support, networking, and more support to enable strengths-based approaches to community development to take place in the city.
