The Programme

The Diana Award Mentoring Programme pairs volunteer mentors from the world of work with young people who are at risk of becoming Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET), to give them an insight into the world of work and career skills training. Together with our Facilitators, the mentors guide a group of young people (aged 11-15 or 11-18) through weekly group mentoring sessions over a three-month period. You would also be working on a social action project with your group of mentees.

The Programme is currently taking place in Birmingham and will take place in-person, starting in February/March 2022.

Being a Mentor

We’re on a mission to break the stereotypical view of who a mentor can be- we welcome applicants of all industries and levels of experience. This is a great opportunity for you to gain skills in communication and leadership, building empathy and understanding of issues and barriers facing young people in their communities.

Please see https://the-diana-award.typeform.com/to/rTpOap5A  for the application pack. The deadline to apply is 20th January 2022, however applications will be assessed as they come in. Alternatively, if you have any queries or wish to find out more, please email [email protected]

Looking forward to collaborating with you to make a difference!
