Volunteers' Week

Volunteers’ Week is an annual celebration of the fantastic contribution millions of volunteers make across the UK. It takes place from 1 - 7 June every year.

To celebrate Volunteers' Week 2019 we're delighted to invite all volunteer-involving social action organisations in Birmingham to Volunteering in Birmingham: Building a Shared Way Forward, a morning of discussion and co-production around the future of volunteering in the city.

The focus of the event will be on working together to articulate a collective Birmingham voice around this issue into 2020 and beyond - a voice which champions the role of volunteering in tackling the city's biggest challenges, strengthens the argument for strong volunteering support, influences the direction of future volunteering policy, and advocates for how collective voluntary action can help deliver the best possible social outcomes for Birmingham's citizens.

If you're planning a celebration during Volunteers’ Week 2019 you'll find plenty of freely available resources and inspiring stories on NCVO's website to help make your celebration a success. And once you've planned your event, don't forget to add it to their Volunteers' Week Events Calendar.
