Volunteering Opportunities at SIFA Fireside

If you enjoy engaging with people and supporting others or have a passion for clothes, then we have the role for you. We have a range of volunteer opportunities available in our support centre on weekdays between 8.30am and 1pm.

The roles we have available are :-

Supporting our busy client reception - Wednesdays or Fridays
Running our shower and laundry desk service - Tuesdays and Thursdays
Supporting Clients in our IT Suite - any morning during the week
Clothing store volunteer - any morning during the week

As some of the roles are client facing we would ideally require people who are good communicators and are sensitive to our clients needs, some general IT literacy would also be useful for the IT support role.

You can help protect vulnerable people that you support by booking on to one of our free, hour long (9.30 - 10.30) and interactive Zoom workshops delivered by the Gas Safe Charity.

Aston Villa Volunteering Group

Here at Aston Villa Foundation, we are looking to create a volunteering group made up of caring people from all walks of life, who are willing to help support our community with various initiatives we are looking to promote throughout the year. Our projects are all about helping those in our community, whether it is through health and wellbeing, tackling food poverty, gifting books and toys to local schools and much more, which you can be a part of!
Volunteer Tutor at Action Tutoring

Children from lower-income families are less likely to achieve academically than their better-off peers. Action Tutoring is a charity that works to level the playing field. We are looking for volunteers to support pupils from disadvantaged backgrounds in maths or English.
Group Activity Volunteers

Our organised activity groups groups give people with additional needs the chance to make friends, enjoy social time together and try out a variety of activities. We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers for our busy and chatty social groups in Weoley Castle.
Multi-Sports Volunteers

People with a learning disability or additional needs are often isolated and excluded from mainstream leisure and social activities. We believe that EVERYONE has the right to have fun and feel safe. Our organised multi-sport activities give people with additional needs the chance to make friends, enjoy social time together and try out a variety of healthy sports. We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers for our busy and chatty groups in Weoley Castle.
