Change Birmingham Brief Therapy (Change) is looking for people to join our Board of Trustees to help us develop and improve our well established (1991) and successful counselling services, available to citizens of Birmingham who have mental health concerns, or wish to improve their emotional health/wellbeing, coping skills and resilience.

Change worked quickly to adapt our working practices and procedures in response to the urgent needs of the community at the beginning of Covid 19.

As the effects of the pandemic continue, we are committed to developing our services in response to the increasing need for free and accessible emotional support and we are looking for individuals with an interest and commitment to improving the city’s mental wellbeing to join us in this work.

This voluntary role requires you to;

  • Participate in quarterly 2 hour meetings (currently held on Zoom in the early evening)
  • Commmit up to 3 hours per month working with fellow trustees to monitor quality and volume of service provision.
  • Publicise and raise the profile of Change.
  • Review and implement our Business Plan and prepare funding bids and new service proposals.

If you are aged 18+ are interested in helping to make a real difference, we would love to hear from you. Email us on: [email protected].
