Volunteer Learning Support Assistants Birmingham Adult Education Service (BAES) are looking for Volunteer Learning Support Assistants to support our adult learners in various community learning settings including: Virtual Classrooms, Blended Learning (Virtual & On-site), and On-site classrooms. Volunteers are required to provide individual or group support under tutor supervision throughout the academic year, in a variety of accredited and vocational courses at different levels (from beginners to advanced) including: Maths, English, Biology, various IT & Business courses, Counselling Skills, Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) and British Sign Language (BSL), Floristry, Textiles, Arts & Crafts, as well as a range of courses for Learners with Disabilities and Learning Difficulties (LDD), and short introductory courses.Volunteers do not need to be experienced but will need to provide evidence of minimum Level 2 qualifications in their subjects of interest, including English and Maths, with the exception of languages (MFL & BSL), where it is sufficient to be a native speaker if not formally qualified.Proof of Right to Work in the UK will be required at the interview stage.
