The Office of the Public Guardian is carrying out ongoing research to improve the experience of our customers when completing and registering a Lasting Power Attorney (LPA). As part of this work we are looking for people to take part in interviews in Birmingham, lasting approximately 1 hour.

We are looking for people:

• Age 55+
• Who knows what a Lasting Power of Attorney is
• Who are NOT acting on a Lasting Power of Attorney (as a donor or attorney)
• Who are able and willing to travel to central Birmingham
• Who would usually prefer to use a paper form instead of completing something online
• Who are free for research sessions 22nd-24th May 2023

The research would involve attending our Birmingham office during May and travel would be paid for. During the session you will be asked to complete elements of a ‘dummy’ LPA and share your thoughts with us. You do not need any prior experience to take part. As a thank you for taking part in the research we would also provide participants with £40 of shopping vouchers.

If you are interested in taking part, or would like to find out more, please email the Insight team on: [email protected] In your email please include the reference: May 23 LPA research.

You can also call us on 07817 012 446 to express an interest – please leave a message with your name and contact details, quoting the same reference.
