NEST Service at New Heights - Warren Farm Community Project, Closing date 1 June

We are delighted to be expanding our team having recently secured funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. This means that we are now recruiting Volunteer Counsellors to our NEST Service. This will ensure we can meet the demand for our service, and provide a safe environment in which to train future practitioners in the field of domestic abuse and trauma.

Closing date for volunteer applications; noon on Wednesday 1st June 2022

New Heights - Warren Farm Community Project provides opportunities to volunteer within a domestic abuse counselling and welfare support service (NEST Service), alongside a passionate and supportive team, to gain experience of supporting and working alongside women and men experiencing or affected by domestic abuse.

Volunteer Counsellors will be supported by the NEST Service Managers and Senior Counsellors, to ensure that their experience, knowledge and confidence will build and grow safely at a pace that is right for you.

The placements offered at New Heights are suitable for second/final year trainees and/or qualified counsellors who are seeking additional hours for accreditation, to broaden their experiences and those wanting to specialise in the field of domestic abuse. It is a requirement that Volunteer Counsellors are either a Member or Student Member of BACP or UKCP.
