Birmingham St Mary's Hospice are seeking Volunteer Bereavement Group Facilitators to help launch a brand new aspect of our service by supporting the facilitation of Bereavement Support Groups in the community and to contribute to the development and expansion of the service. (2-3 hours a week minimum)

As a Volunteer Bereavement Group Facilitator your duties will include:

· To facilitate and provide emotional support to bereaved individuals in a group setting.
· To help individuals explore their grief and find ways of coping.
· To help individuals to process and make sense of their bereavement.
· To attend supervision sessions.
· To be accountable for your work using supervision and support systems.
· To effectively safeguard vulnerable individuals and children.
· Respect and maintain confidentiality.

Your Knowledge and Development

· Participate in mandatory training as required.
· Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
· Share knowledge, best practices and expertise with colleagues in the Wellbeing Team and the Hospice.
