Acacia Family Support is a Birmingham based award-winning Christian charity that offers a range of support services to mothers and families that are affected by perinatal mental health issues, in particular pre and postnatal depression and anxiety.

We now have an exciting opportunity for 2 self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our brand-new Virtual Services Team. The focus of the new team is to provide mainly telephone, with some web-based support for mums and dads experiencing PND/anxiety in Birmingham.

We are looking for exceptional candidates with great telephone and people skills to support our wider service delivering a first-class award-winning perinatal depression and anxiety support service to our beneficiaries in the region. Ideally you will have lived experience and/or experience of supporting those who are facing perinatal mental health problems or other mental health problems. Knowledge and experience of work within a perinatal mental health/general mental health service would be highly desirable, as would previous experience of providing telephone and/or online support.

The successful applicants will be innovative, compassionate and comfortable talking to others. As the role is telephone/web-based most of your work will be from home.

This is a part-time position – 32 hours per week (days/hours negotiable) and is funded for two years initially.
Salary is £24,000 per annum (pro rata).
