Salary: £50,547.77 to £54,813.55

Location: Based at 350 Bournville Lane, Birmingham with some travel to Telford (Hybrid Working)

We are looking for a Supporting People Services Manager to join our team and to help us lead and develop the services we deliver to our diverse customer groups, ranging from our childcare service through to our older persons services.

We are a charitable trust with a diverse portfolio of supporting people services including a young persons care leavers scheme, an Extra Care Scheme and an Almshouse. The Supporting People Services Manager would be perfect for someone with experience in delivering services that respond directly to the needs of these customer groups and who is looking to take the next step in their career, with the opportunity to get involved in a variety of new projects and opportunities that deliver our Championing People aim.

Job Profile
At BVT we deliver a range of services across our Birmingham and Telford estates, from community activities to planned maintenance programmes and to a diverse group of customers. As a result, you will be working and learning in environment where no two days are the same and you will have the opportunity to advance your experience, skills and develop your career.

You will be expected to build successful internal and external partnerships and collaborative working relationships across BVT to improve the way we deliver these services, driving improvements in line with the Consumer Standards and changes in legislation and best-practice. You will be part of a team responsible for the management of a number of our services, leading BVT’s supporting people services which includes:

Three General Needs Housing Sheltered Scheme’s in Birmingham, alongside the Alsmhouses in Bournville, ensuring that they remain safe and welcoming places to live,
Older Persons Extra Care Scheme in Lightmoor Village in Telford, ensuring that the services there, including the Bistro and wellbeing services, are delivering for our more vulnerable older customers,
Young persons care leavers scheme at ‘The Holdings’, Bournville, ensuring that our offer to vulnerable young people delivers positive outcomes and that the scheme remains complaint with OFSTED requirements,
Out of school club provision operating out of Shenley Court Hall, ensuring that it remains viable and offering the service to local families, in line with OFSTED requirements.

You will also be supporting the ongoing development and delivery of the wider Championing People Strategy, driving continuous improvement in our offer to our customers and the wider neighbourhoods, providing leadership, direction and support for colleagues across the service.
Candidate Profile

You will be values driven and focused on delivering great services.

You will have experience in leading and delivery of support service functions, whether that be across younger or older persons services.
You will be empathetic and adept at communicating with stakeholders.
Being organised and having good problem-solving skills is key as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You will be able to manage complex relationships with customers, colleagues and stakeholders.
You will be self-motivated and have a willingness to learn.
