We are an established and highly regarded charity in Solihull that provides much needed help predominantly for adults with learning disabilities or autism. We are seeking two trustees who can add value to the organisation by using their knowledge and expertise. We welcome applications seeking their first trustee role.

The charity delivers advocacy support to ensure their views, wishes and feelings are understood and taken into account. This is important when decisions are made that affect their lives across a variety of issues.

We champion equality and social inclusion so that our clients are supported which enables them to be engaged in topics and interests that are important to them. We empower and enable our clients to have more choice and control over their lives and it is essential that their voices are heard.

We undertake work in the community so that people can live as independently as possible with access to support networks. Important work also continues working closely with health and social care to effect change and improve service provision to some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

We are now looking for two new trustees to join our board who share in the charity’s vision, mission and values and who can add value to the organisation by using their knowledge and expertise. We also welcome applications from anyone seeking their first trustee role. The position is not remunerated and reasonable expenses are paid. For more information about the role please follow the links to the job description and person specification.

To apply please send a CV (no more than 3 pages of A4) together with a covering letter setting out why you are interested in the role to [email protected]

Alternatively, for an informal discussion, please contact Christine Forde, the Chief Executive by email to arrange a convenient date.
