Universal Support: Help to Claim adviser

Citizens Advice Birmingham is set to deliver a new service called “Universal Support: Help to Claim” to help people make a new Universal Credit claim. The service will operate between 8.00am and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday via telephone, web-chat, and in person.

We are looking for people with a commitment to the aims and principles of the Citizens Advice Service; good listening, questioning and IT skills; the ability to work at pace within a busy environment, while treating clients with sensitivity and empathy; the ability to empower clients; and to maintain structure and control of meetings. You will support clients to make and complete their new Universal Credit claim, via delivery of face-to-face web-chat and telephone support. Based initially at our city centre office, travel to outreach locations throughout the city is expected.
