Locality Manager (part time 24 hrs per week)

Acacia Family Support is a Birmingham based Christian charity that offers a range of support services to mothers and families that are affected by perinatal mental health issues, in particular, pre and postnatal depression and anxiety.

We now have an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our committed management team as a Locality Manager for our Kingstanding locality.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to lead our Kingstanding locality service where you will be responsible for delivering a first-class perinatal depression and anxiety support service to our beneficiaries in the area. You will be a confident manager of people and will have experience of leading a team in the voluntary/statutory sector.  Knowledge and experience of work within a perinatal mental health/general mental health service would be desirable, as would previous experience of working with volunteers and managing safeguarding issues.

You need to be a highly self-motivated person who has relevant qualifications and/or has your own lived experience of maternal mental health issues or other mental health problems.  You will be a natural leader with excellent communication skills and the ability to inspire and motivate staff and volunteers. You will also have good problem-solving abilities and a ‘can do’ attitude.

As Locality Manager, you will be part of Acacia’s Operational Management Team and you will be helping to lead the strategic development of our services and promoting the ethos and the values of Acacia which are motivated by Christian faith.  As such, there is a genuine occupational requirement (GOR) that the holder of this post is a practising Christian.

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
