Interim Student Support Advisor

The University of Birmingham Guild of Students is a charity and the students’ union for more than 28,000 students. We represent our members to the University and other organisations on the issues that matter to students most. We also exist to help students develop skills outside of study, have fun, meet people and make sure their time at Birmingham is special.

Interim Student Support Advisor – Fixed Term 10 months

£23,648 gross per annum – 35.5 hours per week

The Student Mentor Scheme is an innovative model of welfare support in University student accommodation.

You will assist in helping to recruit, train, supervise and support the Student Mentors who deliver the front line service, as well as insuring effective administration of the scheme. You will also be responsible for promoting the service through a series of events and campaigns.

We are looking for a creative individual capable of working independently and using their own initiative. You will be a flexible, motivated and organised team player with a commitment to customer service. The role involves working some evenings and weekends.
