The University of Birmingham Guild of Students is a charity and the students’ union for more than 36,000 students. We represent our members to the University and other organisations on the issues that matter to students most. We also exist to help students develop skills outside of study, have fun, meet people and make sure their time at Birmingham is special.

Event & Engagement Coordinator (International & Postgraduate)

£20,462 gross per annum – 35.5 hours per week

The Guild is looking to recruit an Event & Engagement Coordinator to proactively target and engage postgraduate and international students in the Guild’s activities and events.

Responsible for working to increase postgraduate and international participation in the Guild, you will also organise and deliver events and activities that support the Officer team.  You will be required to understand the barriers to the participation of international and postgraduate students and share this information to improve engagement with these groups.

You will have knowledge and experience of coordinating projects, and organising events and activities and be able to research and evaluate activity.  As an excellent communicator, you will also have experience in developing and building relationships with a range of stakeholders and delivering training.
