Deputy Community Projects Manager

Father Hudson’s Care (FHC) is the social care agency of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham.  We require an enthusiastic Deputy Community Projects Manager to assist the Head of Community Projects to lead, manage and support the Community Projects Department.

The Community Projects are local partnerships and collaborations, diverse in provision and size, are delivered by staff and volunteer teams, and provide a breadth of services including social support, information, and guidance, practical help and accommodation.  We reach out to those who need support - asylum seekers, refugees and migrants, older people, people who are homeless, people with disabilities, people suffering poverty, deprivation, and those who are marginalized.  Projects include Tabor House in Birmingham, Young at Heart in North Staffordshire and Brushstrokes in Sandwell.

Successful candidates will have experience of delivering and managing services in community settings and of line managing staff, including managers and senior staff.  An excellent communicator and team player, you will be able to work independently on your own initiative and be responsive and flexible to the constantly changing environment of delivering charitable services in the community. The postholder will need to have experience and skills in partnership/collaborative working, fundraising, managing budgets and report writing. With an understanding of the issues our diverse client groups face, the successful candidate will be committed to working with the disadvantaged across the Archdiocese of Birmingham, therefore an Enhanced Disclosure from the Disclosure & Barring service is essential for the successful applicant.

Interviews will be held on 26th & 27th August 2020
