Asset Development Worker
Gateway Family Services CIC is a leading provider of services to the health and social care sector. Our aim is to reduce inequalities in learning, employment and health.
Having recently secured work to provide a number of local Primary Care Networks with Social Prescribing Link Workers and to facilitate an element of the city’s Neighbourhood Network scheme there is a need for the creation of two new posts to oversee and deliver these new areas of work. Both services are in their infancy so there will be a need for development skills along with the ability to ensure outcomes and targets are delivered.
Position Title: Asset Development Worker
Hours per week: part-time (30 hours per week)
Salary: £18,873 pro-rata
Location: Gateway Family Services offices, Birmingham Chamber of Commerce
This role will be responsible for relationship building but also an element of administration, publicity and promotion. They will map the area, making contact with assets and building links with them. They will arrange events that encourage networking and introduce assets to other useful organisations. They will also raise awareness of the wealth of activity underway in the area by gathering and sharing information and promoting via a range of channels.
- Support the Neighbourhood Lead in ensuring the scheme is managed effectively and the milestones and outcomes committed to are met.
- Be responsible for building relationships with assets, being a central contact point and ensuring that information on assets, what they do and the activities they offer is accurate, promoted and shared
- Promotion and marketing of the scheme through the development and distribution of service literature e.g. produce blogs, e-bulletins, case studies and the use of social media
