Activity lead volunteers needed at Tabor House, Birmingham's Accommodation Project for the Homeless This is an exciting new role where you will have an opportunity to support and encourage Tabor House guests to participate in a range of activities. You will be working with our guests from diverse backgrounds and with varying levels of need. You will play a role in developing and delivering enjoyable and engaging activities. The activities might include English sessions for those guests whose first language is not English; life skills, board games and quizzes etc. Volunteers will: • Support the development of group-based activities for Tabor House guests.• Support and encourage guests to engage in various activities.• Help in setting activities up and clearing away afterwards.• Offer support and intervention with our guests to enable and support their personal and social development as required. If you have the ability to: • Ability to work as a team and take instruction from ‘on-call’ staff.• A heart for vulnerable and needy people, and a willingness to be challenged and changed.Tabor House would love to hear from you.
