Are you a creative thinker who has experience in coordinating activity and building effective working relationships? Do you have the skills and knowledge to ensure that key strategic partners, practitioners, and survivors are involved in the collaborative process of updating the Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) strategy?

As Strategy Support Manager (VAWG) you will use your experience of coordinating successful business support activities to provide appropriate advice and support for the direction of the work.

The successful candidate should be confident in their ability to understand and influence the strategic policy landscape. You will use your knowledge and experience to ensure that VAWG resources are fully mobilised to maximise investment and meet local needs, playing a key role in supporting the work relating to violence against women and girls across council services and key partners in the local Authority of Birmingham.

Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate and support survivor groups and key stakeholders, demonstrating the ability to develop and maintain key stakeholder relationships, alongside the ability to build trust quickly, prioritising adding value to the organisation.

You should have an understanding of the challenges facing Local Government and Partners, and the statutory and national policies, procedures and changes influencing the future provision of services.

As Strategy Support Manager (VAWG) you will use your skills in collating and analysing information to produce clear and concise reports, and evidence progress against the agreed plan. You will also be using your excellent organisational skills to commission and conduct stakeholder engagement. Candidates should demonstrate an ability to take a proactive approach to planning, as well as balancing competing priorities.
