Royal Air Force Museum, Midlands is looking for Volunteers for its “Spitfire Cockpit” role. You will join a team of people devoted to telling the Royal Air Force story through its people and collections. This experience is brought to life by the volunteers who facilitate this. This is a weekend opportunity 10:00-15:30 and travel costs will be covered up to £14.50 per day.

Providing a warm welcome and a friendly face,
Inspecting receipts of visitors going into the cockpit,
Guide visitors getting up and down the steps into the cockpit,
Taking photos on the visitor’s mobile phones or similar devices while the visitors are sitting in the cockpit, if asked.
Sharing Spitfire facts and stories (we will give you this information),
Ensuring all procedures are followed in line with museum guidelines,
Maintaining an awareness of what’s happening around you to ensure your safety and the visitors.
