Salary: £19,00- - £21,000 per annum (full time)

Contract Type: Fixed Term for three years
Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Part-time: 19 hours per week

Key Purpose of Job:

This role requires an individual who wants to make a difference.

  • need strong casework management skills, good written and verbal communication, and an understanding of the importance of maintaining professional boundaries.
  • experienced in identifying and responding to the risks and needs of survivors of domestic abuse.
    -need to hold cases in both the refuge and in the community, including the admission of survivors of domestic abuse to the refuge.
  • you will be responsible for providing high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic abuse and their children living in our refuge and in the community.
  • Direct experience of providing support to women is essential as is a current understanding of legislation relating to domestic abuse including civil/criminal legislation homelessness and welfare rights.
  • The ability to work as part of an on-call rota is essential and occasional evening/weekend work in emergency situations.
