We are looking for a volunteer to help us with school applications for asylum-seeking children who live in hotel accommodation in Birmingham.

This will involve:

• meeting asylum seeking families
• completing applications for school places
• follow up phone calls with local schools/council
• helping to source school uniforms
• escorting children to schools for initial appointments

You will be supported and trained by Birch staff.

We are looking for someone:

• who can volunteer flexible hours
• is a good communicator
• has excellent administration skills
• has compassion and understanding to work with refugees
