A key part of our success is developing, maintaining and growing our Carer Friendly ID and Workplace offer. JOB ROLEThis post will be responsible for the development and delivery of Carer Friendly Communities development and services. • You will oversee the delivery of the Carer Friendly ID and Discount Scheme and liaise with local communities to help roll out the Carer Friendly Communities work. Including processing applications and issuing cards.• You will seek out and liaise with businesses to sign up to offer discounts as part of our Carer Friendly Communities work.• You will liaise with organisation’s who wish to book staff onto training courses• You will support with the delivery of Carer Friendly newsletters and updates. • You will be the point of contact for the Carer Friendly ID Card queries and help support Carers to access the whole service• You will be support Carers to access our online services, helping them navigate to online support as well as helping them book onto events, activities or for 1:1 support, this could be face to face, via emails or over the phone.• You will support on the development of the online Carer forum, engaging with Carers and encourage peer to peer support and online community. • It will be expected that you will also support on day-to-day tasks required for the successful delivery of Forward Carers services and projects. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOREssential: -• Development and effective implementation of marketing and engagement strategies.• Experience in organisational communications, content creation, social media and digital.• Compelling writing, visual and storytelling, adapting styles to different channels.• Administration of databases• Demonstrate an understanding of confidentiality.• Good interpersonal skills and team player.• Able to travel between site locations as and when needed.• Self-motivated and results-driven with exceptional prioritisation and communication skills.• Website administration and content management.• A strong communicator via multiple channels• An understanding of the challenges faced by unpaid CarersDesirable: -• Compiling design briefs overseeing marketing / PR materials to production.• Experience of event management / promotions.• Understand the role of marketing in a non-profit organisation.• Writing press releases.• Evaluation of marketing effectiveness including deriving and review of engagement analytics.• A good understanding of the diverse communities within Walsall and Birmingham• Delivering online support groups• Planning, coordination and successful delivery of projects and events. • Ability to write clear and compelling content with a consistent style and tone of voice, and a commitment to writing in plain English.• Ability to manage time, prioritise workload and work on own initiative.• Willingness to become involved in all functions of marketing and communications across the partnering organisations.
