Do you want to make a difference to those experiencing or at risk of homelessness? We are looking for a positive and committed person to join our expanding staff and volunteer team in Central Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a project which makes a real difference and tests out new ideas and approaches.

Tabor Living is a local Birmingham-based project providing accommodation and support for those experiencing or at risk of homelessness, specialising in support for rough sleepers. Working in partnership with Father Hudson’s Care, our volunteer-supported model uses a person centred, strength-based approach. We work with individuals to build positive futures and will always go the extra mile to create real and lasting change.

Due to the success of the Tabor House project in Digbeth, we have recently expanded and relocated to a larger site at St Catherine’s of Siena in the Birmingham City Centre. The new site includes 9 emergency accommodation beds, move on accommodation (10 rooms) and community activity areas. We also run a nearby 3 bed move-on house.

We are looking to recruiting to either two part time roles, working 18 hrs per week or one full time role, working 37 hrs per week. You will have experience of working with individuals experiencing homelessness, committed to working with people of differing social and cultural backgrounds, be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team and have excellent communication skills.

The Resettlement Caseworker will work with guests in our emergency accommodation, ensuring they are welcomed to the project and supporting them to move forward with their lives. This role will also support a small team of community support volunteers. The Progression Caseworker will work alongside guests in our new move-on accommodation to help them realise their goals and achieve a positive next move on to independence. This role will also support a small team of community support volunteers.
